Starting
Do I need to install anything?
No. Sahl runs in the browser and on the phone. We prepare your site after you confirm your email.
How long does it take to start?
Your site is ready within minutes of confirming your email. The setup wizard asks a few questions about the company and brings your employees from an Excel or CSV file.
Can I bring my employees from Excel?
Yes. The setup wizard imports them from an Excel or CSV file in a few minutes.
Does it work for the UAE?
Yes, for mainland companies. Sahl has a UAE pack with its own rules for leave and end of service.
Is there an iPhone app?
There is an Android app today. On an iPhone, employees and managers use Sahl in the browser, which works the same way.
Your data
Is my data kept apart from other companies?
Yes. Each company has its own site and its own database.
Where is my data kept?
On servers in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with daily backups. The security page lists the few services that see a small part of it, such as phone notifications.
Who owns the data?
You do. Sahl processes it on your behalf under the data processing agreement, and you can export it at any time.
Does Sahl use AI on my data?
Only if you turn it on, with your own Google key. It is off by default, and nothing is done before someone in HR confirms it.
Prices and payment
What happens after the trial?
We send the invoice for the plan you chose. A price per employee follows the number of active employees, with the minimum above.
Who counts as an active employee?
An employee whose record is active on your site. Someone who has left stops counting from the next bill.
What if a payment is late?
Sahl keeps working for 7 days. Then the site is read only for 23 days, then suspended. Your data is kept, and the site opens again as soon as it is paid.
Can I get my money back?
Payments are not refunded. That is why the trial is free and needs no card. When you cancel, the subscription runs to the end of the period you paid.
Is VAT included?
No. Prices exclude VAT, which is added at the legal rate.
Using Sahl
Is Sahl's arithmetic of the law final?
Sahl calculates leave, end of service and GOSI from Saudi rules and your settings. HR reviews the amounts before paying them, and the decision stays yours.
What support do I get?
Support by email and WhatsApp from Sunday to Thursday, 9:00 to 17:00 Riyadh time. The service level agreement has the response times.
Can my accountant get the payroll?
Yes. The approved month goes as one journal entry to Odoo, Qoyod, Daftra, Wafeq or Zoho Books, or as an Excel file.
